Hello, All the instructions are attach and the supporting document.
Oakland College Creating information graphics and integrating with other programs GETTING STARTED Open the file SC_PPT19_6a_FirstLastName_1.pptx, available for download from the SAM website. Save the file as SC_PPT19_6a_FirstLastName_2.pptx by changing the “1” to a “2”. If you do not see the .pptx file extension in the Save As dialog box, do not type it. The program will add the file extension for you automatically. To complete this SAM Project, you will also need to download and save the following data files from the SAM website onto your computer: Support_PPT19_6a_Coins.jpg Support_PPT19_6a_PieChart.xlsx With the file SC_PPT19_6a_FirstLastName_2.pptx still open, ensure that your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1. If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and download a new copy from the SAM website. PROJECT STEPS As a financial aid assistant at Oakland College in Maryland, you have developed a presentation on private loan funds for prospective students. Begin by viewing the presentation in Outline View, and then navigate to Slide 7 (“Why Private Loans”) and work in Outline View as follows: Add credit before “cards” in the bullet item “Less expensive than cards and personal loans”. Move Slide 10 (“Your Borrowing Needs”) above Slide 8 (“College Costs”). Return to Normal View. On Slide 2 (“Current Statistics”), clear all the formatting from the table. With Slide 2 (“Current Statistics”) still displaying, enhance the outside border of the table as follows: Select the top line style (a solid line) in the selection of border line styles. Select 6 point for the border weight. Select Blue, Accent 1, Darker 25% for the pen color. Apply the enhancements, and then reapply the outside border to view the enhancements. Apply the Perspective: Upper Left shadow effect to the table cells. On Slide 3 (“Government Loan Programs”), insert a new Excel worksheet consisting of three rows and two columns with the data shown in Table 1. Table 1: Data for Embedded Worksheet Direct Loan 72% Federal Family Education Loan 23.40% Perkins Loans 0.60% With Slide 3 (“Government Loan Programs”) still displaying, edit the embedded data as follows: Change the font size to 24 point. Adjust column widths so that all the data is visible, and, if necessary, adjust the worksheet size so that it is still two columns and three rows. Change the value 72% to 76%. Exit the worksheet. With Slide 3 “(Government Loan Programs”) still displaying, insert a linked pie chart as follows: Open the file Support_PPT19_6a_PieChart.xlsx. Copy the pie chart. Paste the pie chart as a linked object on the slide using the Keep Source Formatting and Link Data paste option. Use Smart Guides to position the pie chart and the embedded worksheet on the slide as shown in Figure 1. Figure 1: Excel Worksheet and Linked Pie Chart On Slide 4 (“Federal Statistics”), enhance the table as follows: Split the third cell in Row 1 so that it becomes two cells. Type Portion of Borrowers in the new cell (now the first cell in Column 4). Select the entire table. Resize the table proportionally so that its right edge extends to within about .5″ of the right side of the slide. Modify columns widths so that “Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL)” fits on two lines and the width of the column is approximately 4.25″, and the widths of the remaining three columns are each approximately 2.1″, with the three column headings all wrapped to two lines. On Slide 5 (“Private Lending Again on the Increase”), modify the bar chart as follows: Change the chart type to Clustered Column. Add a Primary Vertical axis title to the chart with the text Millions. Format the Primary Vertical axis title in Bold and 20 point. Add Primary Major Horizontal gridlines to the chart. On Slide 6 (“Calculating Private Loan Needs”), enhance the table as follows: Apply All Borders to the table. Change the weight of the border lines to 1 point and re-apply All Borders to the table. Apply the Convex Bevel effect to all the table cells. Right-align the data in Column 2 of the table. Change the color of the shading applied to the entire table to Lime, Accent 6, Lighter 80%. Make the last row of the table a Total row. Resize the second column to approximately 2″. Merge the two table cells in Row 1 of the table to make one cell. Change the height of Row 1 to exactly 1.1″. Fill the merged row with the picture file Support_PPT19_6a_Coins.jpg. On Slide 8 (“Your Borrowing Needs”), enhance the table as follows: Change the direction of the data in Row 3 of the table to Horizontal. Distribute the table rows so that each row is the same height. Apply the Half Reflection: Touching reflection effect to the table cells. On Slide 10, modify the pie chart as follows: Change the colors of the pie chart to Colorful Palette 2. Edit the chart data by changing the value for Books & Supplies to $1,500.00. Explode the pie chart slice (lime green) representing “Miscellaneous” to 32%. Change the chart layout to Layout 6 for the entire chart. Edit the chart title to Breakdown of College Costs. Change the position of the data labels to Outside End. Increase the font size of the data labels to 20 point. Resize the pie chart to a width of 10.83″ and a height of 5.56″ and position it as shown in Figure 2. Figure 2: Resized and Formatted Pie Chart Go to Slide 8 (“Your Borrowing Needs”), and then enhance the slide as follows: Change the shading color applied to Row 1 in the table to Blue, Accent 1, Darker 50%. Change the width of the entire table to 8″. In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure on the following page. Save your changes, close the presentation, and exit PowerPoint. Follow the directions on the SAM website to submit your completed project.
